General Litigation, Enforcement, Collections, General Counsel, HOA and Condo Law
“I pride myself on providing legal service to my clients regarding general HOA/Condo matters, including but not limited to, interpreting governing documents, providing advisory opinions, assisting in elections, aiding associations with their administrative duties, and supporting clients with any other legal issues as they arise. Legal obstacles are like puzzles, and I enjoy being able to help my clients put the bigger picture in perspective in the most efficient and effective ways possible.”
Helping clients understand the intricacies of HOA/Condo law, and the requirements are fundamental pillars of Marcus’ legal practice. His relatability, meticulousness, and problem-solving skills ensure his clients grasp the full spectrum of responsibilities and legal ramifications associated with operating their HOA/Condo Associations. Most of his practice relates to HOA/Condo law matters in New Mexico and Arizona. Marcus provides clients with experience and knowledge to navigate and resolve legal issues with sensible solutions, to comply with everchanging requirements and developing legal structures in each jurisdiction.
In addition to his legal practice, Marcus spends a large amount of time teaching training seminars for New Mexico and Arizona HOA/Condo clients, helping educate board members, homeowners, and community managers on preferred HOA/Condo law practice in each State. Over the past few years, Marcus has spearheaded the firm’s expansion into New Mexico. The repeated, positive results achieved by his team has quickly made VF Law the go-to law firm for any HOA/Condo law matters in the Land of Enchantment.
Prior to law school, Marcus was a mathematics instructor at the University of Colorado-Boulder. His career has blossomed thanks to two critical pieces of advice, “Don’t always chase dollars; chase good management and internal support,” and “Find a core group of people you can trust and build an empire with them.”
When Marcus is not in the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is an avid sports fan of basketball, baseball, soccer, football, esports, and golf. If he were not a lawyer, Marcus would develop a creative outlet as a content creator focused on photography, video editing, and social media while traveling to new places and learning about diverse cultures. He also loves reading non-fiction and listening to sports, politics, and current events podcasts. He is particularly fascinated by the Name Image and Likeness (NIL) movement in college sports and the surging esports industry.
