HOA Law, Enforcement, Collection, Family Law
“I want my clients to understand the big picture concerning their cases, so client education is something I emphasize. Knowledge empowers my clients to make informed decisions, which increases the likelihood of obtaining a desireable outcome. I also strive to connect with my clients on a meaningful level as their priorities are my priorities, and I do everything within my power to achieve their desired results.”
Karma represents homeowner associations on matters concerning general HOA law, the collection of delinquent assessments, fines, and the enforcement of governing documents. Further, Karma represents individuals in dissolutions of marriages, custody issues, and the division of assets. Practicality and reasonability are qualities that define Karma’s legal practice. She encourages clients not to get lost in the details of a matter and instead take a step back, look at the larger picture, and assess decisions intentionally rather than reactively. She enjoys specializing in HOA law and family law and providing hyper-focused services relating to enforcing governing documents, fines, collections, and dissolution of marriage matters. Before becoming an attorney, she worked as a law clerk for the firm.
Inspired by her first law professor’s advice, “Discover a healthy work-life balance in law school, because whatever foundation you set now will dictate your professional life immensely,” Karma strives to balance the demands of being an attorney with her life outside the office. Karma’s philosophy is that adequately taking care of herself allows her to fully support her clients. This approach extends to her fellow attorneys and staff, and she encourages them to have a healthy work-life balance as well.
Additionally, she is a passionate advocate for mental health; she helps clients and other attorneys navigate stressful situations to better themselves. She loves connecting with people on a deeper level to fully understand their goals and needs and find a resolution, even in the most complex cases. As a result, Karma endears herself to her clients and coworkers, establishing long-lasting relationships that benefit clients and the firm.
When Karma is out of the office, she enjoys cooking, yoga, pilates, hiking, reading, and watching television shows with her husband and Australian Labradoodle. She is a certified yoga instructor and a self-proclaimed fantasy nerd.
