“I always want my clients to know that I care about their matter and well-being. Establishing realistic expectations and staying keenly aware of the stress that legal proceedings can cause my clients are pillars of my approach.
As a partner and lead attorney for the firm’s Family Law Practice, Sarah takes immense pride in maintaining an empathetic and transparent approach to law. The core of Sarah’s practice rests in identifying and navigating issues that afflict client disputes. She deeply understands the emotional and mental toll these matters can bring and determines amicable resolutions that meet their goals relating to custody and financial matters. Sarah emphasizes the importance of post-judgment issues, ensuring her clients understand that plans can always be modified down the road due to life changes. Additionally, she is a strong advocate of open communication and encourages her clients to contact her anytime.
Sarah collaborates with the firm’s collections practice, where she provides HOAs with practical advice concerning how much they should spend to recoup the money they are owed. She has helped HOAs collect millions of dollars in delinquent dues throughout her career. Another facet of her practice is advising HOA boards on the fundamental premise of treating everyone in the community equally, even if disputes arise; governing with a consistent and steady approach allows for a more equitable community.
Balancing multiple issues at once is a critical trait that helps Sarah manage professional and personal matters. She advocates for well-being, mental health, and a healthy work-life balance. Sarah thoroughly enjoys collaborating with her exceptional team at the firm and understands that by instilling measures to maintain well-being and positivity, her team can reach their clients’ goals more efficiently.
When Sarah is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her two children, reading, walking, doing pilates, frequenting local eateries, exploring the natural beauty of Oregon with her labradoodle, and traveling. She is a member of the LGBTQ community and actively takes part in efforts for equality.
